My Story

The Craftsman Behind the Leather

Losing my best friends, Suzanne and Mike, changed the trajectory of my life and my art. Suzanne was a master of the “after-dark” crafts, known for her ability to transform exotic woods like Purpleheart and Zebrawood into functional masterpieces. But her talent didn’t stop at the workbench; she was equally skilled in the art of leatherwork, creating everything from intricate restraints to bespoke equipment that was as durable as it was beautiful.

Mike was my foundation—the person who saw my potential even when I couldn’t see it myself. He believed that with enough focus and heart, I could achieve anything I set my mind to. He took me in when I had nowhere to go and over the following year became another dad to me. He was such a selfless man always trying to help everyone that knocked on his door, even if he couldn’t stand them.

Today, I am a one-man team dedicated to keeping their spirits alive. I carry Suzanne’s torch by continuing her work with high-end woods and following in her footsteps with hand-stitched leather. With every project I start, I challenge myself to meet the high standards she set. Throughout the process, I carry Mike’s voice with me, reminding me that I can do this—no matter how complex the design.

This isn’t just a business for me; it’s a way to ensure their impact on the world is never forgotten. When you choose one of my pieces, you aren’t just buying gear; you’re supporting a tribute to craftsmanship, friendship, and a legacy that I hope makes them proud every single day.
